My career in woodworking began after serving 14 years in the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. After my honorable discharge, I studied furniture design and making at Rosewood Studio under the guidance of some of North America’s top furniture makers. Following that I started a small business designing and crafting furniture by commission while working at Rosewood as a part-time instructor and craftsman in residence. At the time, I realized that I needed a bit more of a steady 9-5 job to support my woodworking interest, so I went on a job hunt and found myself as the editor for Canadian Woodworking & Home Improvement Magazine. After this my career continued as the Woodworking Advisor at Lee Valley Tools, where I had the opportunity to help develop tools and travel around the world to teach and present at various conferences, shows, and woodworking events. Now, my main gig is VTW and contract work for woodworking companies around the world.
The Woodworking Show is proud to say it’s a Canadian family-run business.
