Whether whittling a branch with a knife or using intricate tools, many Canadians use woodworking as a form of relaxation, with the added bonus of creating something useful and/or beautiful. The Woodstock Woodworking Show, Canada’s oldest consumer woodworking show celebrates everything to do with wood for hobbyist and professionals at the Woodstock Fairgrounds (875 Nellis St., ON N4S 4C6). The Show returns for its 31st year from September 28 – 30, 2018.
No matter what level of experience or interest in woodworking, visitors to the Show can check out the latest hand tools, power tools, design trends, finishes and wood kits. The show is now under new ownership and the new management team, are excited to be working on the Granddaddy of all woodworking show. This year’s show will be putting an emphasis on learning, offering double the seminar over last year. Rob Cosman from New Brunswick, aka Canada’s Hand Tool Coach will be putting on two different seminars. Rob is an amazing resource and eager to share his love of woodworking. The Ontario Woodcarving Championship runs throughout the three days of the Show with open to youth levels in a variety of categories.
